Meet Aaron
I’m Aaron, a Certified Practising Counsellor with a Master of Counselling from Monash University. Over the past several years, I’ve supported individuals from diverse backgrounds, including adults at different stages of life navigating mental health challenges, trauma, and life transitions.
I’ve also spent over a decade in therapy myself, which has shaped how I understand the counselling process and how I sit with people in the room.
Get to know Aaron better:
-
My interest in counselling began early in life, shaped by growing up with a sibling on the autism spectrum.
From a young age, I became curious about how people experience the world differently, how people adapt, and how worlds are shaped by relationships.
Over time, this curiosity deepened into a desire to sit with people, rather than try to fix or simplify their experiences.
-
My approach is person-centred, collaborative, and holistic. I believe therapy should move at your pace and be shaped around who you are, rather than following a rigid formula.
Sessions often involve thoughtful conversation, gentle exploration of patterns, and practical tools to take home, including breathwork and body awareness, to feel more grounded and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
-
I offer a calm, grounded presence and a space that is non-judgemental and safe.
I’m attentive to the finer details of your experience and mindful of how each person experiences their world.
I value curiosity over certainty and I work with you rather than positioning myself as the expert on your life.
-
I work with adults navigating anxiety, overwhelm, low self-worth, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and feelings of being stuck.
I also have lived experience supporting neurodivergent family members and understand the complexities within caring roles and family dynamics.
-
A flat white with oat milk (because I’m very lactose intolerant).

Music is something I often return to. Lately, I’ve been listening to Tame Impala, Men I Trust, and Khruangbin, on repeat.
